Happiness comes from within

Whatever your journey is in life; one thing that we all have in common is our search for happiness.

What makes you happy? Is it something that you have already, something that you want, or something that you believe will make everything perfect- if only..?

The truth is, you will never find true happiness from anything material. You’ll always want something different or be waiting for the day when something happens that will give you everything you need. We make ourselves miserable always searching beyond ourselves and never feeling quite satisfied with life.

It’s great to want more out of life, it’s great to strive for things and have dreams and achieve those dreams. The point that I’m trying to make is that true happiness will always come from the inside.

Knowing that where you are in life right now has its own purpose and its own blessings and there’s never a truly “right time” for anything.

We make our own joy, and our lives are blessed by the people and things in it, if we take the time to notice.

If you’re not happy with how things are, look inside yourself. The answers to any questions that you seek will always be in your heart.

You might find that the more you look at the present, the less anxious you’ll feel about the future and you’ll be able to take it step by step in a calm and happy way.

Words that stay with you

Have you ever noticed that some things in life that you’re told, or that you experience that seem so insignificant at the time, can stay with you forever?

This can be a moment, a word or sentence, an experience or something inspirational that you hold on to and store somewhere in your mind. It can even take on new meaning.

Years ago in college, I was in a Music lesson with a very cool Jazz sax player who was my most inspirational lecturer and taught us all a lot. During the lesson he said something that I’ve never forgotten, and I think it also applies to life. He said, “If you make a mistake in your playing then make sure you mean it”. I loved this.

If you make mistakes in anything then make sure to make the most out of it and make your next “note” mean something. You can always create something amazing if your heart is in it, and sometimes it’s the imperfections that give it character and soul.

So in life, and in anything that you do- try to remember that perfection isn’t always best; because who can define perfect anyway?

Have a great day x

Cheap and simple Naan bread pizza

The easiest way to make a homemade pizza is to use naan bread as your base.

You can add any topping that you like; to create a cheap, easy and tasty meal.

I used tomato puree as a base, added tuna, red onion and grated cheese then popped it in the oven for 10-15 minutes.

So easy and great for anyone to try. Even the kids could make it!

For movie lovers

I recently found a great site that gives you access to over 1000 movies including new releases and 16 premieres a month so I thought I’d share it on here.

I had a Netflix account for years, but I found recently that I’ve seen too many of the films that they have on there and wanted to watch some different ones without waiting a while for something good to be added to the list.

I came across an offer for a 14 day free trial for NOW TV so I signed up and it’s fab! It’s the same idea as Netflix without the TV series (you can get a separate entertainment pack if that’s more your thing). After the free trial it’s £9.99 a month, which I don’t feel is a bad price for that many good films and you can try before you commit and cancel any time.

It can be used on lots of different devices too.

Here is the link to the website if you’d like to start your free trial and see for yourself NOW TV free trial

I am in no way affiliated with NOW tv or anyone I’ve spoken about. I just love films and wanted to let others know about their offer. x

Find the good in your day

(Sourced via Pinterest)

There is always something to be thankful for in your day or in your life, no matter how tough things feel.

Having gratitude for the blessings in your life will bring you happiness and positivity. I find that the more that I find in life to be thankful for, the happier I feel and I start to focus on the positive.

Sometimes it feels hard to do this. If you’re having a difficult time and life is getting you down, just start small. Every time you find yourself feeling down, think of one thing that makes you smile.

One thought will soon turn into a good day. X
